Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SlabVault ("we", "us", or "our"), accessible at cardscan.live. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

SlabVault is a web application that uses AI to identify sports cards and trading card game slabs from photos and optionally log them to a Google Sheet. We offer a free tier and a paid Pro subscription.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SlabVault. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• You must provide a valid email address when registering.
• You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent scan limits.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Free & Pro Plans

The free plan includes a limited number of scans per day. The Pro plan provides unlimited scans and additional features for a monthly subscription fee.

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly and auto-renew until cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.

5. Payments

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing to Pro, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. SlabVault does not store your credit card information.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API
• Use automated tools to exceed scan limits or circumvent rate limiting
• Upload content that is illegal or infringes on third-party rights

7. AI Accuracy

SlabVault uses AI to identify cards. Results may not always be accurate. We make no guarantee that card identification, grades, cert numbers, or pricing data are correct. Always verify important information independently before making buying or selling decisions.

8. Google Sheets Integration

If you connect a Google Sheet, you grant SlabVault permission to write card data to that sheet on your behalf. You can revoke this access at any time through your Google account settings.

9. Intellectual Property

SlabVault and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright. You retain ownership of any card data you scan and store.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

SlabVault is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SlabVault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any losses related to card buying or selling decisions made using our data.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
